There are a couple of different ways you can frame it.
Framing wall on uneven floor.
That is if you found a wall that has a bulge and it might take another 1 2 an inch to adjust then move the framing wall 1 2 an inch in front.
Cut pressure treated 2 x 4 boards to length and lay them along the chalk line.
Walls are built from the ground up.
Use a chalk line on the floor to indicate wall placement and cut a 2 by 4 to fit.
Insert shims between the joists and wall as necessary to make the wall fit snugly.
A treated plate to the concrete floor nailed using the powder actuated gun.
I use tapcon concrete screws to secure the wood to the floor.
Secure the wall to the beams or joists accordingly.
Unlevel slab issues were found in this current project of ours.
Attach the bottom plate.
Use a hammer drill with 3 16 masonry bit to drill a hole through the wood and into the concrete floor.
Cut four or five two by four blocks each perhaps 10 to 12 inches long and insert them between the end studs on.
Use an impact driver to drive a 3 tapcon screw through the wood and into the floor.
Pony walls fall into the latter category installed by attaching an end to an adjoining wall for support or by securing it to framing in the floor beneath the pony wall.
